Project background 

Overview

The leading web service for kids and family activities in Norway required a complete overhaul of its existing website. The old platform was outdated and had server architecture limitations, preventing further growth. The client needed a modern website that could handle a large amount of data on cultural and sports events across Norway, with advanced filtering and improved search engine compatibility.

• Redesign the website with a new UX concept based on client-provided prototypes.
• Develop a robust back-end system to support the growing data and functionalities.
• Implement advanced filtering options for users to easily find events and activities.
• Ensure the website meets the latest search engine requirements.
• Enable deep integration with Google Maps for event locations.
• Create separate user and admin panels with enhanced features.

Our approach

Solution

We developed a completely new website, incorporating a modern UX design and a robust back-end system. The new web service not only processes events but also schedules arrangements. We implemented Single Page Application (SPA) and Server-Side Rendering (SSR) technologies, along with deep integration with Google Maps. Additionally, we created a user-friendly search facility with advanced filtering options.

Team

The project team consisted of a project manager, backend, frontend developers, UI/UX designer, and QA engineer.

Results

In two years of development, we successfully launched the revamped website, significantly enhancing its capabilities. The new system can process a larger volume of events and scheduled arrangements, providing a user-friendly experience and supporting the platform’s growth.
